We're GETTING Married

It started on a cold day with a chance meeting neither of us expected to become anything particularly special.

 

A date at a football game, followed by a walk through Digbeth and dinner at a little vegan restaurant. Nothing extravagant, nothing carefully planned, just two people meeting for the first time.

 

And somehow, we both just knew.

 

What started as one date quickly became a friendship, a partnership, and the beginning of the rest of our lives.

 

Since then, we’ve shared each other’s passions and discovered plenty of new ones together. From paddleboarding, canoeing, snowboarding, sailing, and flying, to family gatherings, evenings with friends and adventures wherever we can find them.

 

Whether we’re heading for the mountains, taking to the skies, setting sail on the water, or simply spending time with the people we love, some of our happiest memories have come from experiencing life together.

 

Some of our favourite moments are also the simplest ones. Our little escapes to the middle of nowhere, firing up the barbecue with nobody around but each other, and usually a field full of cows.

 

Best friends, one house built, five countries visited, two businesses and more adventures than we can count later, it has been the best time of our lives.

 

Together, we’ve built a home and a family we love. We’ve encouraged each other to dream bigger, supported one another through every challenge and celebrated everything from life’s biggest milestones to its smallest moments.

And somehow, it still feels as though our adventure is only just beginning.

 

Then came the proposal...

 

On a particularly cold, wet, and very windy day, Gareth had a plan.

 

He was going to take our little family up a mountain to ask a very important question.

 

There were just a few problems...

 

Evan was poorly, Bianca was definitely not mountain ready, and the weather had other ideas.

 

So, as is often the case with the best adventures, the plan changed.

 

The mountain proposal became a lakeside camping trip instead. There, beside the water, with just our little family together, Gareth pulled out a little box and asked the question that would begin our next chapter.

 

It was cold.
It was windy.
It was wet.

It wasn’t quite what Gareth had planned, but it was quiet, personal, and completely us.

 

And, of course, Bianca said yes.

 

Now, we can’t wait to take the next step together, surrounded by our family and friends, as we receive God’s blessing on our marriage and begin the next chapter of our story.

 

We can’t imagine beginning it without all of you there to celebrate with us. ♡
